#ISSSTE.- As part of the commemoration of the National Day of Older Adults, the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (Issste) reaffirms its commitment to public policies that benefit the 1,271,949 retirees and pensioners who are entitled to services and benefits to which they are entitled, after years of service in the public sector, said the Director General, Pedro Zenteno Santaella.

«Today is a very special day because we are celebrating our senior citizens, who are a pillar of the institute, they are the ones who are in charge and for whom we strive to offer quality services and warmth, because a society that does not honor its elders has no future,» he emphasized.

At the previous celebration of this day, the meeting was held at the «Convive» Coexistence Center, where the regulatory director of Economic, Social and Cultural Benefits, Yezmín Lehmann Mendoza, pointed out that Issste, as a guarantor of social security and in punctual compliance with the instruction of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the general director, to put the elderly first, is implementing actions in favor of healthy aging.
